The  Mayo  College,  Ajmer.  was  founded  by  Richard  Southwell  Bourke,  Earl  of  Mayo,  Viceroy  of  India   in  1875.  Regarded  by  many  as  the  Eton  of  the  East,  Mayo  College  set  out  to  ‘ promote  among  the  youth  of  Rajputana  the  cardinal  virtues  of  fortitude,  temperance,  justice  and  benevolence.’  The  Mayoor  School  is  born  of  the  commitment  of  Mayo  College  General  Council  to  collaborate  with  the  Mayoor  School  to  bring  quality  and  creative  schooling  to  Bhopal.
