INCULCATING HEALTHY EATING AT THE MAYOOR SCHOOL, BHOPAL.
Food, we all know, is the basic requirement for proper physical and mental growth and development. It also plays an important role in the emotional well being and social adjustment of a child. It is the tool to address any nutritional problems a child may face like under, or over nutrition, anemia, dislike of certain essential foods etc.
Keeping this in mind, The Mayoor School intends to provide hygienic, healthy food in its mini meals and lunch menu. As a result, children would learn that healthy eating is a fun filled adventurous activity and the importance of various foods, textures, tastes and smells. The school intends to use peer pressure as a positive influence for children to learn that healthy food is also tasty food. This would ensure life long eating patterns and help parents in following meal patterns which keep the children and families healthy. To strengthen the message, regular workshops and interactive sessions would be held with and for children, parents and other adults in the school.
